One of the first questions people ask a Realtor is, "How's the market?" In my opinion the only true is answer is, it depends. Really it does. Sure there is the overall market, but you're not buying or selling your home in the overall market. You are looking to buy in a specific neighborhood, city, school district and price bracket. The house you are selling is generally only competing with other sellers in your specific sub-market or very similar sub-markets. South Minneapolis homes for sale create a different market than homes for sale in Woodbury or condos in Lowertown. 

So to me how your specific sub-market or micro-market is the more important question when buying and/or selling a home.  Here's how I can help.. This is the first edition of my Morning Micro-Market Report.  Each weekday morning I will select a different micro-market (neighborhood or city) to feature. To keep some kind of pattern every Monday I will look at homes sales in a specific Minneapolis neighborhood. Tuesday- Friday I will rotate clockwise around the metro from North to West to providing market numbers on Twin Cities homes for sale. Your area will be coming soon. I take requests too...  

(Editor's note: The system thinks neighborhoods are cities. So when you see Diamond Lake, MN for example, that means the Diamond Lake neighborhood in Minneapolis. For some reason the system has the Hale neighborhood as Hale, WI. Please trust the map and the numbers ) Technology... 

Ok, we'll start in Hale so I don't have to explain why it says Wisconsin down the road. Plus it is a great neighborhood. My brother and sister-in-law live there and my wife and I have spent lots of time enjoying Lake Nokomis...
